Generally, I don't do commission work but I use to gift my paintings a lot. Some of my friends suggested to start commission work. I also think as an artist if someone wants to grow, commission work is one of the best way. Because when you do something for free you don't get honest opinion for it. They think their comments may hurt you and generally people thankful for a gift instead of criticism. We also can not take negative comment for free service. Another benefit is definitely the commission. One of the best feeling is when you get value and money for what you love to do. That is why I have started doing commission work.
